Add your passwords
Congratulations on creating your Intuitive Password account! Now, let's guide you through the process of adding new passwords. We recommend starting with your top 10 sites using one or more of the following methods.
Method 1: Importing passwords from a CSV file
- Navigate to the left-hand side of the screen where you will find the Features panel, which provides various options and functionalities to enhance your password management experience.
- Within the Features panel, locate and click on the dropdown list to reveal a range of available features. From the list, select the "Import Passwords" option.
- To ensure the security and authenticity of your account, you will be prompted to verify your identity. Enter the correct security answer associated with your account to proceed with the import process.
- After verifying your identity, you will be presented with a dropdown list of data sources. Choose the appropriate data source from which you wish to import your passwords. This could include options such as a specific password manager or the Intuitive Password application itself.
- Follow the instructions displayed on the screen to upload your CSV file. Ensure that the CSV file contains the passwords you want to import into your Intuitive Password account. Once you have selected the file, click the "Import" button to initiate the import process.
Note: It's important to note that the import feature is currently supported exclusively in Widescreen PC Mode on Windows or macOS. Please ensure you are using one of these platforms to access the Intuitive Password website when importing passwords from a CSV file. Additionally, please be aware that Smartphone Mode and Tablet Mode do not currently support the import feature. If you intend to import data other than passwords, such as credit card details, software licenses, or passport details, please select "Intuitive Password" as the data source. Download the provided CSV file template, populate it with your desired data, and then import it into your account using the same import process.
Method 2: Save passwords as you browse the Web
- Ensure that you have installed the Intuitive Password browser extension. You can identify the extension by locating the shield icon, which will be outlined in the color teal, in your browser toolbar.
- Start browsing the web and log in to websites as you normally would. Whenever you log in to a site that is not yet saved in your Intuitive Password account, a prompt will appear, asking if you would like to save the login information for future use.
- When prompted, click on the "Save Credentials" button to store the login details. By doing so, you will be able to automatically log in to the website the next time you visit it, without the need to manually enter your credentials.
Method 3: Add passwords via the web platform
- In the Categories panel, select the category where you want to add your password items. If you plan to utilize the Intuitive Password browser extension for automatic logins, it is advisable to choose the General Logins category. This category ensures that your login credentials are securely accessible by the Intuitive Password browser extensions.
- Within the password item Details panel, navigate to the "New" tab. Enter all the necessary details for your password item, such as the website URL, username, and password. It is highly recommended to utilize the Password Generator feature to generate a strong and secure password. The Password Generator allows you to customize the password length, with a maximum limit of 100 characters. To ensure optimal security, it is advised to create passwords that are at least 12 characters long and contain a combination of lowercase letters, uppercase letters, digits, and symbols.
- After entering the required information, click on the "Create" button to add the password item to your account. You will now be able to view and manage the password item within your passwords list.
Method 4: Add passwords via the iOS or Android app
- Open the Intuitive Password app on your iOS or Android device.
- Login to your Intuitive Password account using your login credentials.
- Once you are logged in, you will be presented with the app's user interface. Look for the Categories dropdown list, which allows you to organize your password items into different categories. Choose a category from the dropdown where you want to add your new password item. This helps you keep your passwords organized and easily accessible.
- Within the selected category, you will find a button labeled with a "Plus" icon or a "Create New Item" button. Tap on this button to initiate the process of adding a new password item.
- A new screen will appear, providing you with fields to enter the details of the password item. Follow the same process outlined in Method 3 above to create a password. Enter the necessary information, such as the website URL, username, and password. It is recommended to use the Password Generator feature within the app to generate a strong and secure password. The Password Generator allows you to customize the length and complexity of the password according to your preferences.
- After entering the required details and generating a strong password (if needed), review the information you have entered to ensure accuracy. Once you are satisfied, tap on the "Create" button to store the password item in your Intuitive Password account. You will now be able to view and manage the password item within your passwords list.
With these methods, you can easily add new passwords to your Intuitive Password account, ensuring secure storage and easy access. Start by adding your essential sites and gradually expand your password library.
