Join a family account

This user manual will guide you through the process of joining a family account, the features and considerations involved, as well as how to leave a family account when needed. Please follow the step-by-step instructions below.

Considerations before joining a family account

Before joining a family account, it's important to consider the following:

  1. The family organizer has the ability to remove you from the account, which will also revoke your access to their shared vaults. However, you will still retain access to your Private Vault.
  2. If the family organizer stops paying for the Intuitive Password subscription, your account may be frozen. While you will still have access to your passwords, some features of Intuitive Password may be unavailable until the family organizer reactivates the subscription.
  3. The family organizer has the option to add additional family organizers to help manage the account.

Joining a family account

Once someone invites you to a family account, you will receive an invitation email. Open the invitation email and click the join button, then follow the on-screen instructions to set up your own Intuitive Password account within the family account.

  1. During the setup process, you will be provided with a unique secret key and an account password specific to your individual account.
  2. As a member of the family account, you can use Intuitive Password for free, as the subscription is paid by the family organizer who set up the account.
  3. You will have access to a Private vault where you can store personal passwords that are not shared with anyone.
  4. Additionally, you will have access to a Shared vault where you can move password items to share them with your family members. You can also create additional vaults to share password items with specific individuals.

Leaving a family Account

If you wish to leave a family account and continue using Intuitive Password with your own individual account, follow these steps below.

  1. Sign in to your account on IntuitivePassword.com.
  2. Locate the "Secure Sharing" option in the status bar at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select the "Users" tab and delete your username from the list of active users.
